Starting off the new year right is an article detailing the 161st Air Refueling Wing out of Phoenix, Arizona. This is a wonderful unit, and took time out of their busy training schedule to take me up with them to pass some gas to Vipers and an AWACS.

I apologize for the lack of updates recently. 2008 will bring many additional articles as I'm slowly getting out from underneath a massive backlog of visits with Fighter Wings, air-air flights, and book projects. There is even some USMC and US Navy stuff coming up. Stay tuned!!

My first title in my Reid Air Publications line has finally(!) returned from the printers. It is available immediately either directly from me, Afterburner Decals, Reid Air Publications, or your local bookstore. Retail is $44.95, plus shipping.

The first book under my "Reid Air Publications" has gone to the printers. The Viper Story, Part I: F-16s of the Air National Guard has gone to the printers, and should be available for purchase by early April. Details are on the "BOOKS" page.

A change from F-16s, finally! I was invited to fly along with the 121st Air Refueling Wing as they refueled a flight of Vipers during a training mission. The 121st ARW is part of the Ohio ANG, and is one of 3 "Super Wings" in the ANG. The new article can be found here.

More F-16s today. The 183rd Fighter Wing is based at Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois. A great unit, and another ANG unit preparing to lose their mission and aircraft due to BRAC.

The 20th Fighter Wing is based at Shaw AFB, South Carolina, flying block 50 F-16C/Ds. A new article detailing their operations is now on-line, with a larger selection of pictures than usual. I've also toyed around with this page's format a little. Let me know what you think!

A new article detailing the 102nd Fighter Wing has been added. They are based at Otis ANGB in Cape Cod, Massachussets, as part of the Massachussetts Air National Guard, flying the F-15 Eagle.

I know, I know. It's been an awful long time since my last update. I've been very busy with another, more pressing, project, but that is almost finished. Within the next few weeks, I'll be able to spend more time adding photos, articles, and a new gallery.

The 162nd Fighter Wing in Tucson, Arizona has joined the units in the "Articles" page. They have been training foreign F-16 pilots since 1985.

The 2005 ANG Commander's Conference took place November 16-17 in Ft. Worth, Texas. The article and lots of photos are now on-line here.

A new article detailing the training operations with the 178th Fighter Wing is in place. They have been training pilots to fly the F-16 since 1999. You can read it here.

Article #2 has been completed, this time detailing the 131st Fighter Wing from St. Louis, Missouri. They have recently converted from the F-15A to the F-15C, and, just a few months later, been nominated for closure by BRAC. The article can be found here.
